I am not quite sure why that happened. I do not have the ability to retrieve it. I thought that it might have been collected within the spam portion of the administration menu, but that does not seem to be the case. Sorry, but I am going to have to leave this posting issue to you.

Most assuredly...sounds like a great line-up for the television monitor connected to the tape player/vcr.

We should attempt to do this on Thursday evening. I have the day off work. We just have to find the appropriate cables, and set up the television monitors.

We arrived at 7:00. The front display case told us to walk behind. Scaling the side of the house under a purple Ants Head landmark, i lead. Our newly initiated members ALEXAXELA(two people) follow suit, Yvonne is somewhere. Right off the bat- Barbecue vibes, noticed Tiki torches illuminating bowling ball garden borders, circus tents with free beer, Captain Piccard in print and worshipped by ALEXAXELA but not to quick to admit. We ended up getting in for half of the 6 o'clock block by paying the 6 bucks for 8:00-10:00(friendly deal). This gesture said to me that Planet Ant was more interested in the publics exposure to their films than any monetary gain. Which right there makes for great community atmosphere. The free beer was also a nice touch. The back door of a two-story house also moonlighted as the theatre entrance. Inside was a whole-other place, jet black darkness, not a peep of sun/artificial light which made for a nice touch rarely seen in any theatre style setting. It took about half a beer for my eyes to adjust, relying on the brightly lit scenes for a sense of surrounding. Finally we located seats directly behind us. Another unique feature, The planet ant theatre has seats that move by themselves. The Candle started. And we quickly started doubting. The first block had only one shiner " The Tree" which brought us back to curiosity. After tearing apart the candle with the group outside for about the entire 10 minute intermission i realized something i've never had the opportunity to notice about independent short films.
Most times i see films at the show its only because that particular film met a few select pieces of criteria that i deem count on able. Either the director, the actors, Morbid subject matter... If the flic fits at-least one i'll usually feel good about spending the money to see it even if it turns sour.
At Planet Ant, I had none of that. And because of that lack in familiar grounds to count on, i responded extremely critical of anything even flickering on the screen.
Plus! Seeing an Independent film knowing that the chances of either the director or the actors actually being there, possibly sitting next to you shines a completely new perspective on Theatre etiquette.
Witnessing how not to make a movie, literally forces you to appreciate what a good movie is all about.

The 8 o'clock block proved redeeming. Really made me wish i could have caught the previous days but with a psychic knowing to avoid "THE CANDLE".

Top Flics:

Carl and Mark
Dir: Jon Haynes, David Woods
UK, 3 min
Carl and Mark, two hapless travelers from Wales, enjoy the center of the earth with a shovel. Reaching some red sanded desert on opposite side of the world, falling back in the hole, catipulted out the other side thus playing out my imagination as a kid.

La Parabolica
Dir: Xavi Sala
SPAIN, 12 min
During the broadcast of the Pope's visit, VicenteÕs(skinny old gent) television is broken. Desperate, he decides to make a homemade parabolic dish from an umbrella. In the beginning without reception/pope; at the end, full scale cable television meltdown, he gets the pope, But also George Bush/Osama latex puppet carnage and Nun spread+white dildo. Intense contrast.

Also they voted at the end. I voted for La Parabolica. It didnt win.
