Introduction

This is the official site of the Project This Film Club.

This site facilitates the means by which the endeavors and activities of the Project This Film Club (PTFC) can be documented for further usage.

The PTFC hosts weekly screenings of films from varying genres, time periods, and philosophical/political backgrounds. The group’s imminent interest in the aesthetic which can be associated with the act of watching, propels the club to attend/host a variety of showings in diverse locations.

Films for which the PTFC is directly responsible, are displayed using a homemade projector. These films are watched in both urban and rural areas; from the claustraphobic atmosphere of recently vacated parking lots to vacant fields under blanketed sky.

In addition to designated and controlled film nights, the PTFC attempts to retain a firm grasp on films of a more contemporary nature. The group attends showings and festivals at a variety of different locations.

This site features projected show times (pun intended), films of particular interest, documentation of endeavors (ticket stubs, pamphlets, etc), and the numerous involved conversations which the viewing of films inevitably propels.
